A few weeks ago, I had to go to Denver for a work conference. I say “had to” like it was a hardship, like I haven’t wanted to go to Denver for a couple of years now.  The conference started on Monday, but I flew out on Friday evening to have a couple of personal to do some sightseeing. When it was announced that the USMNT would be playing a Gold Cup group match, I didn’t have to think twice about whether I would attend.
