The Washington Capitals are currently one of the hottest tickets in town. We have several of the best players in the world on our team, and are third overall in the League. I love hockey, so when a coworker sweetly offered me her pair of tickets while she was out of town for Thanksgiving, I jumped at the chance to catch a game live. My friend, Jen, was free to go with me, so we had a Dinner and Hockey Date on Thanksgiving Eve. The Verizon Center (henceforth known as The Phone Booth) is located in the Chinatown neighborhood. -THE WRAP UP- November was a busy month even though it felt like I didn’t have a lot going on. But then I reviewed my calendar to write this post and holy crap it looked like a unicorn vomited on my GCal (it’s color coded in obnoxiously bright colors). After two DC United matches the first week of the month, I attended the soft opening of Pennsylvania 6, thanks to being a friend of a friend of the owner #humblebrag. The holiday season is upon us! Christmas music is being played loud and proud in the stores, Amazon Wish Lists are being updated, we’re debating if wrapping paper inflicted paper cuts are worth the $3.99 savings of not having Amazon gift wrap for you (the answer is “no”), and if you are anything like me, you are stuck on what to gift to certain people in your life. Travelers can be difficult to shop for. If we are on the go constantly, we either don’t have room to carry stuff, or aren’t home to enjoy it. I am pretty difficult… View Post

When they announced that St. Louis was going to be hosting a 2018 World Cup Qualifier, I got super excited. One of my best friends is from The Lou, I would get to add another city and state to my list, and knock off another sports venue. St. Louis has a rich soccer history. Five of the eleven members on the 1950 U.S. World Cup team, which defeated England 1-0 in what is considered one of the greatest upsets in World Cup history, hailed from St. Louis.  Additionally, at least one St. Louisan has been included on every USMNT squad… View Post
